Rachael Bailey Curzons’ studio create homes with heart and intelligence — spaces that are deeply lived in and deeply loved.

Balancing architecture, colour, pattern, and objects, we bring out the best in each home: its bones, its setting, and the lives unfolding inside it.

Rachael’s instinct for design was born in a house without a roof. Bought at auction eight weeks before she was born, her childhood home was a raw, windowless shell — and the ultimate creative project. Over the years, it became a richly personal space shaped by the vision of her artist mother and engineer father, sparking a lifelong fascination with how we build meaning into the places we live.

That early exposure to making — drawing, building, sewing, restoring — fostered a deep connection to craft and the handmade, which continues to shape Rachael’s work today. Her interiors are grounded in materiality, artistry, and a respect for the skill and care behind the objects we choose to live with.

After reading literature and art at Oxford, Rachael spent a decade in the world of tech start-ups before returning to her first love: design. Alongside three personal renovations, raising two children, and making far too many ceramics, she studied at the Inchbald School of Design — and honed a design philosophy rooted in craftsmanship, history, and a clear-eyed understanding of how people actually live.

We bring this layered, practical, and joyful approach to every project — whether a city townhouse or a country retreat. With projects across south-east England and Scotland, we’re always curious about new people and places across the UK.
